How does a caterpillar go through the process of metamorphosis?

  • Through the process of metamorphosis, the caterpillar transcends its previous existence to take on a completely different form with a completely different set of capacities. The caterpillar’s transformation seems to have little to do with cognitive understanding about the process of metamorphosis; something more primal and God-ordained is at work.
  • It is a process of metamorphosis that begins when the soul in incarnation awakens to its spiritual essence and discovers the path of return to its Source. Along the way, the individual who was identified with the outer persona—body, emotions, and mind—becomes identified with the Soul, the true or higher Self.

What does the Bible say about metamorphosis?

  • This “metamorphosis”, or complete change, involves the renewing of the mind. The believer’s mind feeds on the true Word of God in order to think with the mind of Christ. II Corinthians 3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
