You gain 3 experience points every time a mysticism spell is cast upon an appropriate target, regardless of the magicka cost. General tips for increasing spell-casting skills are provided at General Magic Strategies. The best standard mysticism spell for practice is Minor Life Detection: it is the cheapest mysticism spell, and since it is cast on self you can always repeatedly cast it to gain experience.

May 2019 edited May 2019 in Skills and Stats. I want to fill up a mysticism spell book, i have blank scrolls and the reagents in the top level of my backpack, i get a message that reads: "You don't have the components needed to make that." for any mysticism scroll i want to craft.

Mysticism is an overhaul that fixes bugs in Vanilla spells, fills in gaps in the game's magic progression, and adds new spells from previous Elder Scrolls titles. This mod does not have any known dependencies other than the base game. This is hard dependency. Required for Adamant and its relevant patch (es).

Similar to Magery, Mysticism consists of spells divided into eight circles that signify their power and the magic ability required to cast them. The more powerful a spell you wish to cast, the more mana each spell requires you to expend. Spells of the Eighth Rank require great measures of both skill and mana, while spells of the First Circle are much easier and require less energy. Every mysticism spell I've come across requires at least a 25 in the skill in order to be used; however, my mysticism is only 12. I'd like to be able to create a minor spell for training up the ability, but the spell-making table won't allow me to use any spell effect that I can't already cast.
